CF-MB advises managing director of Euro-Express Sonderzüge GmbH & CO. KG exclusively on the financing of a management buy-out

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
dear business partners,

we are pleased to inform you that we exclusively advised the managing director of EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE GmbH & Co. KG, Münster, on the financing of a management buy-out.

The management acquired the main assets of EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE GmbH & Co. KG within the framework of an asset deal and thus arranged the company succession for the company founder, Mr. Heinz Müller. The acquisition financing was made possible by a long-term lease from COMCO Leasing GmbH, Neuss. Sparkasse Münsterland-Ost provides a senior operating line of credit to finance ongoing business operations.

"We look forward to accompanying EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE as a financing partner on its growth path in the coming years. As the largest private passenger train operator with a flexible offering and an international focus, we are convinced of the company's continued positive development. ", says Johannes Hüsgen, member of the management board at COMCO.

CF-MB provided financial advice to the management and structured and raised the acquisition financing for the transaction. Stefan David, new managing partner of EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE: "CF-MB has accompanied the process in a highly professional and competent manner and has thus backed me from the very beginning. I am very happy with the solution CF-MB found and I am now looking forward to the next steps with EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE."

Further transaction details were not disclosed.

Dirk Overhage, corporate client advisor at Sparkasse Münsterland-Ost, said, "As the company's principal bank and long-time partner, we involved our team of CF-MB experts in the financing process at an early stage in order to set the course for this customized financing solution. We look forward to accompanying the company's further development in the future and congratulate the management on the successful transaction."

EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1992 and is today the leading private operator of passenger coaches in Germany with its own fleet of more than 40 seating, couchette, bar, dining, dance and luggage coaches and can carry more than 2,500 passengers at any one time. The company continuously invests in its own vehicle fleet and meets all safety requirements of German and European railroads.

The business model includes both the company's own marketing of the cars and cooperation with Deutsche Bahn AG, European state railroads and various private railroads. The vehicles are used, among other things, for company outings, incentive trips, product presentations and for pilgrimage trains to Lourdes. In club tourism, the cars are chartered out exclusively to Müller-Touristik.

"With the takeover of EURO-EXPRESS SONDERZÜGE by the previous managing director, the business will be continued in a proven manner for employees, customers and business partners. We are pleased that in COMCO we have also found a financing partner who has the necessary experience in the rail vehicle sector. In addition, Sparkasse Münsterland-Ost will remain on board as our long-standing principal bank," says Joachim von Brockhausen, Managing Partner of CF-MB.
