we are pleased to inform you that we exclusively advised the shareholders of Zobel-Chemie GmbH, based in Worms, on the sale of 100% of the shares to the Berger Group, Grünstadt.
The previous owner and managing director Harry Zobel is retiring at the same time after 47 years in the company and is handing over to the managing directors Thomas M. Adam and Markus M. Adam. Thus, the entrepreneurial and corporate succession of Zobel-Chemie GmbH is secured in the long term and the company remains family-run.
"It is an optimal solution for all parties involved", Harry Zobel as well as Thomas M. and Markus M. Adam agree, because with this company transfer they see the long-term, healthy further development of the company excellently solved and strengthened.
With this step, two very traditional German family-owned companies and absolute specialists in their respective niches are joining forces. While the Berger Group with its brands Berger-Lacke in the industrial coatings segment and Berger-Seidle in the parquet coatings segment has been known and successful worldwide as a technology leader for decades, Zobel-Chemie represents this market position in the window and facade coatings segment (wood and PVC). The merger will benefit both the Berger Group and Zobel-Chemie as solid, owner-managed medium-sized companies, bundling their strengths and further enhancing their performance.
